- Q: Aren't these just like posters?
A: No, these are actual cut-outs of the pictures. The size and shape of the Wall-a-Be will vary with each picture. Posters are not cut-outs. They are always the same size.
- Q: How big are Wall-a-Be's?
A: VERY BIG! If you choose to they can be life-sized images of your child or of whatever images you submit.
- Q: Are Wall-a-Be's just for sports and kids?
A: No, Wall-a-Be products are used for a wide range of photos like dancers, pets, sports figures, military, parents, brides, graduates, etc. Use your imagination!
- Q: Do I need to take it to a professional?
A: No, but lighting and the overall quality of the camera are very important to the image process.
- Q: Can I email you a photo that I took with my digital camera?
A: Yes, The classic rule is the better the image that you provide to us, the better image we can print for you. Please also remember that the subject you would like removed in a cutout must fill the majority of the picture. Please see our requirements tab prior to submitting images for production. - Q: Can I mail you a CD with multiple images on it?
A: Yes, just email prior to sending us the CD so that we know it is coming. In that email include how many images need printed and what sizes you want printed of each image.
- Q: What file formats do you accept?
A: Wall-a-Be accepts any of the following file formats:
We prefer all images to come in a tiff file. Remember - garbage in equal's garbage out.
- Q: Does Wall-a-Be offer bulk pricing and offset printing?
A: Yes! Our bulk pricing begins at orders of 50 or more of the same image and we offer offset printing and dye cutting beginning with orders of 1000 or more. Please contact Justin at justin@wall-a-be.com for more information.
- Q: What are Wall-a-Be’s made of?
A: Wall-a-Be's are printed on a fabric based vinyl that is easy to apply and remove from any wall. This vinyl will not shrink or curl like some other wall graphics.
- Q: Do you print using solvent ink?
A: Yes, we have chosen solvent inks because they work the best with this type of paper.
- Q: Can I have my Wall-a-Be printed on anything other than 6mm vinyl?
A: YES! Our printer enables us to print on just about anything up to 2 inches think! This would be considered a special application, so contact Jim at jim@wall-a-be.com for additional information and job quote.
- Q: Why is it important for the image to be a high resolution image?
A: This is VERY important because the more information we have on the image the easier it is to enlarge. Also, high resolution images enable us to print high quality images. If you have any questions see our requirements page. If you are still not 100% sure then just send it to us. We will review it and let you know how big of a Wall-a-Be we can make prior to you submitting an order.
- Q: Will my digital printing design look just like it does on the computer screen?
A: Very close. Computer screen resolution and printer resolutions are different but if you send us a tiff file you can expect the color match to be extremely close to what you see on your screen.
- Q: Can I mail you an already printed picture?
A: Yes, but because of the additional work we will need to do, there will be an additional $10 processing fee added to the order.
- Q: Can I have my kid's school picture done?
A: Yes. If the photographer supplies us with the image and it meets our pixel density protocol. Because of copyright laws those images can ONLY be submitted by the professional or studio photographer that shot the image. These can not be the photos that you purchased from the photographer.
- Q: Will my wall decal hurt my walls?
A: No, but if you install your Wall-a-Be on the following types of walls you run the risk of the adhesive permanently sticking to the walls.

- walls with primer only
- walls that have wall paper on them
- Q: How long will it take to receive my Wall-a-Be?
A: Once payment and the image are received product time is about 7-10 days and shipping will depend on what option you choose.
- Q: How do I install the Wall-a-Be?
A: Please see our installation tab. Installation instructions will also be provided with each order.
- Q: Can I move it once it is up?
A: Yes, just be sure not to fold it. To move or store, place it back on the sheet it was delivered in, or on wax paper.
- Q: Will you deliver to a PO Box?
A: No. Because of the size of the tubes we need to ship it to a physical address.
- Q: Can I pay COD?
A: No. Since all orders are custom orders, all orders must be paid in full prior to production.
- Q: What if the Wall-a-Be does not stick?
A: If you feel you have received a defective product. Please call our customer service department at 614-413-3100.
- Q: Can I check my order on line?
A: Yes. Please go to the customer login section and put in your order number.
- Q: Can I cancel my order?
A: Yes. If it is prior to the order being printed. The only way to determine whether your order can be cancelled is to contact our customer service department at 614-413-3100. SSince all of our orders are custom made once the image is printed, your order can not be exchanged or your money refunded.
- Q: How much is shipping?
A: All Wall-a-Be’s that are shipped within the continental US are shipped via UPS ground at $9.95. At an additional charge, UPS Next day and two-day shipping can be arranged. We can also set-up shipments to Hawaii and Alaska. All shipping charges will be displayed when you go to check out. If you would like to ship a Wall-a-Be to location outside the 50 states, contact our customer service department at 614-413-3100 for special shipping instructions.
- Q: What are your hours?
A: Our regular business hours are Monday—Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time. We are closed on the weekends and holidays.
- Q: What is your return policy?
A: We do offer a 30–day money back guarantee. If the goods are flawed or the image quality is not what we told you it would be, then you may return the custom Wall-a-Be for a full refund within 30 days of receiving your custom order (less shipping and handling). All returns and refunds will be done at our discretion. We will not return or refund damage caused by shipping or abuse by the customer. All shipping issues need to be taken up with UPS. If you do elect to return your Wall-a-Be we ask that you notify our customer service department immediately on why the image is being returned. We will provide you a RTA number so that the goods can be returned quickly and accurately. Shipping and handling charges CAN NOT be refunded and it is up to the customer to handle getting the product back to Wall-a-Be. Wall-a-Be can not offer refunds on items that are lost during shipping. If you ordered more than one Wall-a-Be and we feel a refund is due then it will be done at the lowest purchase price.
- Q: How do I find out how big I can make my Wall-a-Be?
A: Step #1 – Open the picture you want created into as a Wall-a-Be by using Microsoft Picture Manager.
Step #2 – In the upper left hand corner scroll the mouse and choose the "File" tab to pull down the list of options. Once you open the list, select "Properties". This will open the properties of the image you have on your screen.
Step #3 – Look on the right side of your computer screen and you will see a box marked properties. Click on the tab labeled "More". This box will have the following information that you need:

- Size: 1.95MB
- Horizontal Resolution: 72 dpi
- Vertical Resolution: 72 dpi
Step #4 – Take the dimensions and compare them to our chart. If you still have questions, simply send us the properties list from the photo and let us assess the quality-output for you.
